Paul enlisted in the Army as a Private and rose through the ranks to retire as a Lieutenant Colonel. During his almost thirty years of proud service as an Infantryman, he graduated from schools ranging from Basic Training at Fort Benning, to the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, KS. Along the way he had assignments from an Enlisted Rifleman to working on the staff of the Secretary of Defense. He has two combat tours and served in Viet Nam and on the Korean DMZ. His awards and decorations range from those awarded him by foreign governments to the Legion of Merit. He proudly wears the Combat Infantryman's Badge and Army Parachute Wings.
His training includes a working knowledge of weapons from around the world. He is civilian SCUBA qualified and trained in martial arts. He has taught Rappelling in both a military and civilian environment. In Viet Nam he participated in operations that may still be classified.
